What Would You Like to Know?
WHAT IS EJG?
Estacada Junior Golf (EJG) is registering as a non-profit serving our local community to help children develop golf and life skills through a variety of fun and competitive programs both on and off the golf course. EJG utilizes the U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway with an easy to follow curriculum combined with awards, players can progress from beginner to elite player.

WHO CAN JOIN EJG
EJG is for boys and girls ages 8-18.
HOW LONG IS THE EJG’S SEASON?
EJG’s inaugural season will be 10 weeks from the end of July through October. After the first season we will decide on the length of the next season.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of EJG is $200 per player. EJG player fees include;

IS THERE A SIBLING DISCOUNT?
No, at this time, the costs aren’t able to be discounted.
ASSESSMENTS
Assessments will be held prior to the start of the season. Coaches will assess the player’s skills in putting, around the green and on the tee. Assessments provides EJG to place the player at the appropriate level for learning, growth, and success on the course. See RSVP for "Skill Assessment" on main page.
WHERE WILL GOLFERS PRACTICE AND PLAY?
Practices will be held at golf courses near the Estacada community, specifically; Springwater GC, Eagle Creek GC, Mountain View GC, Greenlea GC, and more. You should expect 2-3 practices per week. Practices will vary in length per coach, but they are generally two hours, in the late afternoon and on the weekends.
TOURNAMENTS
EJG will host two single day tournaments for the first season; August 29th and October 3rd. If you decide to register as an OJG member, you will have access to compete in any competitive and non-competitive OJG tournament in addition to the two EJG tournaments
PLAYER PATHWAY
To make it fun for players to learn while staying motivated to improve, the Player Pathway provides the perfect program for kids, parents, and coaches. With an easy to follow curriculum combined with awards, players can progress from beginner to elite player. During practice, players that have passed all skills within a level will have the opportunity to level up and start the next level within the Player Pathway. The EJG fee includes one level within the program. Additional levels are available to purchase as your player advances.
· The Player Pathway is a simple to follow curriculum with skills checkpoints to guide development.
· It includes 10 Levels, each includes Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Knowledge, and Scoring.
· Award pins provides motivation for success.
· Special “Star Awards” are included for completing Levels 5 and 10.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Time of each practice will depend on the coach, but generally late afternoon, two hours, three times a week. Tournaments and events are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends, depending on the event.
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?
Mandatory Equipment
· A set of golf clubs appropriate for your player’s size, age and ability.
· Golf Bag
· Golf attire
· Golf balls
· Golf Tees

· Sunscreen & Hat (until team hats arrive)
· Umbrella

· Golf Shoes (soft spikes only)

WHAT ABOUT ADHERING TO COVID-19 GUIDELINES?
Golf it is a no-contact sport in which each player only uses their own equipment. Players must maintain a 6-foot social distance at all times until restrictions are lifted. Bring a face mask to use inside clubhouses if the facility mandates it’s use.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION.
Parental involvement is key to your player’s success on the course. Parents are encouraged to follow the curriculum along with their player. Golf is a sport that can be a life-long family activity. There will be no organized transportation to practices, tournaments or other events. If the parent is not staying for the duration of the practice, please let the coaches know.

WHAT IS OREGON JUNIOR GOLF?
The mission of Oregon Junior Golf (OJG) and the Oregon Golf Association (OGA) is to introduce youth to the sport, encourage friendships and a life-long love for the game, provide competition and facilitate programs serving young golfers of all skill levels. Parents need to register independently for OJG tournaments. EJG will supply the OJG tournament schedule. This is a fun and unique opportunity to travel the state and to play golf with other juniors around Oregon. Parent’s may walk the course, refer to OJG’s handbook for official rules.
